Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), is a plastic
material strengthened by glass fibres,
usually erroneously known as fibreglass.
Glass-reinforced plastic is a favoured
material for boat hulls and for the bodies
and some structural components of performance
cars. It is also used in the manufacture of
passenger cars.
